Grounds for our grounds

This is the greater Seattle area, where the streets flow with coffee. In our case, that's kind of literal. Our local Starbucks has bags of used grounds available for our (free) composting pleasure, so I snagged 25 pounds of some of the more pleasantly aromatic mulch you'll find. And accidentally spilled the whole thing on my rose bed.

Caffeinated roses. And when it rains, the gutter is filled with a weak coffee colored and scented run off. Any how, the roses have been pleased with the attention.

So stop and smell the coffee. Or is it-- Wake up and smell the roses?
